Dear Clients of The Haven,
With a profound sense of regret, we must share the news of The Haven's closure. Despite our fervent aspirations to operate a thriving restaurant and event space, unforeseen challenges marred our journey. Regrettably, the lack of building maintenance from our landlords prevented us from realizing our dream of offering you a fully functional and vibrant venue. The heartache is compounded by the fact that circumstances beyond our control kept us from providing the experience we had passionately envisioned. While we tried to mitigate the damage and hide our painstaking work from public view, it was ultimately a losing battle. We extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and hope that you will stick with us as we close this chapter and start a new one.
Sincerely,
Eric and Alicia
Persistent leaks, worsened by the landlord refusal to repair the roof, have disrupted The Haven's journey. Despite our dedicated efforts to restore the building for our intended restaurant, catering, and event space, circumstances beyond our control have compelled an involuntary relocation. We have been fighting for justice for over 5 years and have had to give up on the dream now as we head into court in the coming weeks. Your understanding and support during this challenging transition are immensely valued as we navigate these obstacles in our continued efforts to preserve The Haven's spirit.
Structural vulnerabilities and ongoing issues, especially with roof and plumbing leaks, strained our resources and resilience. Despite our efforts, adapting to these challenges proved difficult, leading to the decline of our business.
Addressing multiple leaks in our venue led to severe consequences, including ruined flooring and drywall. Tackling these issues became a pressing challenge, requiring urgent attention and comprehensive restoration efforts.
Due to unsafe building conditions, the City of Mill Creek has red-tagged 16300 Mill Creek Blvd. #P1 (Haven) building, compelling landlords to address property issues. This means the building is deemed unsafe.
Help us champion justice by contributing. We've incurred $150,000 in legal fees so far, and any financial support you offer would be sincerely appreciated.
